Blush and Bruise
(2025)
(graphic, photography)
“A visual and performative piece that combines photography, performance, and text to explore, from a tension-filled domestic space, questions around the body, sexualization, and desire. It challenges the symbolic and material power that upholds the sexualization of female bodies and reflects on the false sense of bodily autonomy experienced by many women, as well as the constant presence of an “internal man” who validates or judges.
Can one inhabit the canons of eroticism without perpetuating misogyny? Does the body lose its power when its purpose is not to serve the man?”
